So apparently the “Church” of Scientology is now viewing Tom Cruise is a messianic figure who’s magnitude is comparable to that of Jesus Christ for Christians.

Now theres a lot to be said about the legitimacy of a religious sect when it praises a second-rate faggy-boy loser like Tom Cruise as its purported savior. But this revelation transcends beyond the obvious ludicriousness of the scientologic tradition; it is a statement about the entire institution of Hollywood and its toxic impact on American culture.

Lets first ask the question; why are so many Hollywood socialites compelled by the dogma of scientology? What posesses them to treat the manic ravings of a hardcore crack-head as meaningful religious doctrine?

Very simple, with their enhanced social status and monetary affluence, the Hollywood elite has generated an aura of self-importance and superiority around itself; constantly believing its views on politics, social issues, economics, and the like trump the common plebian philistines that consitute the American populous. So naturally Hollywood is far too sophisiticated for the arcane and ancient religions of old; it needs a savvy new alternative.

Even if its a mediocre work of science-fiction by a perpetually drunken pedophile by the name of L. Ron Hubbard.

But Hollywood’s subscription to the nihilisitc alien cult of scientology is but one manifestation of its narcissistical disdain for contemporary American culture. Indeed, Hollywood makes sport of making unsubstantiated and uncalled for attacks against the nation it so gleefully reaps profits off of. Constantly we see depthless, juvenile, two-dimensional outlooks on America’s role in the world, more times than not portraying it as villainious.

Some passing examples in recent memory include revolting attacks on American enterprise like Wall Street, The Constant Gardener, Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price, Super Size Me, (wow! If you eat massive McDonald’s meals every moment of every day, you’ll gain weight! Thank you Morgan Spurlock, you’re so insightful!) not to mention downright corrosive pieces of mind-rotting leftist propaganda like the Day After Tomorrow. And lets not forget perhaps the single most classic demonstration of Hollywood’s innate hatred for this country that they reap so much profit from, the film rendition of Clancy’s Sum of All Fears. In the book, a football stadium is annihilated by a nuclear bomb set off by Islamist extremists during the Super Bowl. In the movie, American-bred white supremacists are to blame. Its no secret that Hollywood has been kissing Castro’s ass for years, next thing you know we’ll be seeing a Ben Affleck movie exalting Bin Ladin has a mythic hero.

Constantly we are assaulted by images of celebrities making “bold” protests against America. You’ve got Johnny Depp whining about the many evils of America and how he hates it so much he’ll raise his kids in France (funny how he doesn’t make his money there), George Clooney suggesting Hollywood is single-handedly behind the civil rights movement and aid to Africa, Danny Glover embracing Hugo Chavez, Tim Robbins and Jane Fonda praising the Iraqi insurgency, Spike Lee suggesting that Hurricane Katrina was a Bush administration conspiracy against black people (I wonder what Colin Powell and Condolezza Rice think about this theory) and most recently the obscenely despicable creature that is Rosie O’Donnell randomly calling for Bush’s impeachment, without warrant or elaboration. Really its beyond me why this worthless lesbian harpy piece of crap even has a career in television; no looks, no brains, no personality, seems to be hated by everyone, who the fuck let her slip through the cracks?

Really what it is is that the Hollywood elite view themselves as the modern incarnation of the Enlightenment philosophers; a higher order of thinkers that have inherited this land and know far better than us common peons how to manage civilization. Thats why Angelina Jolie, Madonna, and so many other celebrity maggots adopt foreign children; its not as an act of charity, its just to inflate their already bloated egos, to give these wretched souls the priviledge to be raised by a member of Hollywood.

And of course, the ironic part is, none of these fools are intellectually adept or sophisticated; they’re not our benign dictators, they’re not philosopher kings…

They’re actors.

Their pathetic lives are that of a facade; they produce nothing but easily forgettable tripe that at best will earn them a statue that they’ll stash in some dusty case that no one looks at or cares about. Perhaps thats why they propagate this delusion of academic and moral superiority, because its the only thing keeping them alive; from succumbing to the reality of their trite and meaningless lives.

Whatever, let them drink their own Kool-Aid. It won’t last.
